Katie Patel
Katie Patel serves as the US Diversity Talent Acquisition Leader at PwC, with over 22 years of experience with the firm, starting in client service and then human capital.
After graduating from the University of Georgia-Terry College of Business, she started her career at PwC in the Audit Practice in 2002. After 6 years focusing on real estate clients, she moved into the Talent Acquisition space in 2008. Since 2013, she has focused largely on the firm's Diversity Talent Acquisition strategy, programs and external partnerships to raise awareness and increase the pipeline of diverse talent into the firm across both entry and experienced hires.
Katie currently serves in the following forums: 1) Board member on the American Accounting Association (AAA) Foundation, 2) Member the AICPA & CIMA National Commission on Diversity & Inclusion (NCDI) and 3) Board member on Temple University’s Center for Ethics, Diversity & Workplace Culture.
Katie lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband Darsit and two children, Ava (14) and Liam (12). She enjoys traveling with family and friends, attending UGA football games, watching her son play travel baseball and driving her daughter to flight training classes as she works on her pilot’s license.
