Elizabeth Young (Liz) is a Director in the Tax Practice & Ethics Group at the AICPA.  Liz is responsible for overseeing the Tax Practice & Ethics division's efforts to grow the Tax membership section and support other AICPA members in tax by monitoring the professional landscape and tax discipline to identify emerging issues and service areas, ensuring critical updates are communicated and appropriate resources developed, as well as promoting CPAs as the premier provider of tax services.   


Liz has over 18 years of experience working in tax and has held a variety of roles.  Most recently she worked at KPMG in tax risk management where she was responsible for addressing risk management policy guidance and developing enhancements to risk management tax processes.  She has also worked at KPMG in their Washington National Tax Practice in DC that serves as the technical core of the firm's tax practice and where she was responsible for following the technical guidance released out of Washington and helping clients with complex issues. 

Previous to being at KPMG Liz was in the Tax Policy & Advocacy group here at the AICPA where she assisted with monitoring, reviewing and evaluating tax legislative and regulatory issues and developing and maintaining relationships with key individuals within the government.   She is both a licensed attorney and CPA.
