Jason Weippert is the Senior Director of Accounting Policy and Central Accounting at Capital One, located in Richmond, Virginia.  He is responsible for all aspects of accounting interpretation and compliance for Capital One, including purchase accounting, as well as the operational accounting for Capital One's corporate activities, including lease, compensation, and asset accounting.

Jason has been with Capital One for 14 years, and in that time established the operational accounting process for ASC 310-30 (SOP 03-3) and oversaw the company's adoption of ASC 326 (CECL).  Jason is a prominent advocate for the application of accounting to credit card loans, most recently in identifying and communicating the operational challenges of applying the gross-up method of PCD and PFA accounting to that asset class.

Jason graduated from the University of Richmond in 1995 and is a CPA from the commonwealth of Virginia.
