Ms. Garnett is former Associate Director for Disclosure Operations in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance. As a member of the Division’s senior leadership, Ms. Garnett was responsible for oversight of the disclosure review program for public companies. From 2000-2010, she served as an Assistant Director in the Division, supervising the filing review process for companies in the real estate and investment services industries. Previously, she served as Special Counsel and Attorney-Advisor in the Division of Corporation Finance. Prior to joining the Commission, Ms. Garnett was in private practice, concentrating in general corporate and securities law matters. In addition to her duties at the SEC, Ms. Garnett was an adjunct professor in the LL.M program for Securities and Financial Regulation at Georgetown University Law Center from 2005-2012. Ms. Garnett is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Texas School of Law.
