Robert B. Malhotra is a partner based in New York with nearly 30 years of experience. He was appointed chief accountant in the Department of Professional Practice (DPP) in 2022 and also serves as the chief accountant of DPP Americas, which supports KPMG member firms in Central and South America. 

Prior to rejoining KPMG in 2014, Bob was the global head of Financial Reporting and Accounting Policy at American International Group, Inc. Earlier in his career, he served as a professional accounting fellow and then was appointed the senior adviser to the chief accountant at the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
