Theresa is a principal with CLA and has more than 26 years of experience in public accounting, including 21 years with Plante & Moran, LLC. Her clients span the spectrum of nonprofits, manufacturing, oil and gas services, universities to professional sports teams. Her passion for the participants in the retirement plans makes her a leading go-to for many TPA’s and recordkeepers.

Leading the Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) Assurance Practice in Denver at CLA, her team of individuals work year round to make sure of compliance for her clients. She has extensive compliance experience with IRS and Department of Labor (DOL) ERISA rules and regulations. The plans audited range in size from just over 100 eligible participants to plans with tens of thousands participants. Plan asset sizes range from several hundred thousand dollars to more than $1 billion. She also has specialized experience in advising clients on internal controls, monitoring service providers, understanding their fiduciary responsibilities, and other responsibilities. We team up with our clients to modify controls for greater plan compliance.
