Kristen is a CPA with over 25 years of experience in public accounting.  Kristen’s mission is to “Bring JOY to Accounting”.  

Kristen is the founder of Breakaway Bookkeeping and Advising, the Owner of Sherwood Tax & Accounting, and a founder of Cadencia, an outsourced staffing agency located in Guadalajara, Jal, Mexico. 

Kristen has also served on the FreshBooks Partner Advisory Council and the Intuit Tax Council. Kristen has spoken at Intuit Connect, Accounting Today Firm Growth Forum, and Bridging the Gap as an advocate for change in the accounting industry.  Ignition just named her to the Top 50 Women in Accounting 2024.
