Matt Pelton is a Managing Director in Deloitte's Accounting & Reporting Advisory practice and acts as the Audit & Assurance Sustainability leader for the US Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) industry. With over 15 years of experience, he specializes in advising executive teams of public and private companies on global regulations, sustainability strategies, and assurance-ready external reporting. His experience includes standard setting, technical accounting, SEC reporting, and transaction advisory.

Matt guides clients through sustainability disclosure standards, peer benchmarking, and industry-specific priorities to develop robust reporting strategies. He supports the creation of cross-functional sustainability roadmaps, enhancing stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, and regulatory compliance across the US, EU, and IFRS markets.

Matt is a CPA licensed in Illinois. He holds the FSA Credential from the IFRS Foundation and a Sustainable Investing Certificate from the CFA Institute.
