Brenda Vethanayagam leads the AI Trust practice at PwC Canada. The AI Trust practice collaborates with key experts across the firm to ensure we are putting the right risk management, governance and compliance measures in place to build trust in AI systems. She currently leads the Risk stream of PwC Canada's own AI Transformation, as well as a PwC Global working group on Responsible AI. She is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience spearheading engagements in the forefront of technology. Her expertise spans across leading our digital transformation initiatives, integrating her risk skills into our blockchain and cryptocurrency practice, and currently leading our AI Trust mandate. Brenda's leadership has been instrumental in large IT audit and risk advisory engagements, showcasing her versatility in both internal and external audit capacities, positioning her well to not only understand the foundational elements of the control environment but also layer in the emerging technology understanding.
