Melanie Lauridsen represents the Association’s interests in legislative and regulatory based tax advocacy efforts. In this role, she leads and implements strategic initiatives around technical and policy recommendations for improvement of the federal tax process. She is a principal liaison for the Association with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Treasury Department. Lauridsen joined the organization in 2011 as a Manager of Tax Policy & Advocacy and managed the AICPA’s IRS Advocacy Relations Committee for 10 years.
