Anna Bell
Expertise
Anna is a Vice President in Segal's San Francisco office with over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. She leads the West Region team and provides consulting services regarding fiduciary liability, ERISA fidelity bonds, employment practice liability, cyber liability and other lines to public sector and multiemployer benefit plans. She is involved in the service of many national benefits funds and coordinates marketing and service efforts for Segal in the West Region.
Professional background
Prior to Segal, Anna served as an Underwriting Specialist and Marketing Manager for an insurance brokerage firm where she produced new and renewed existing business for the firm working with over 250 affiliate retail agencies/brokers. She also oversaw day-to-day operations of the firm's Financial Lines Marketing Department (which included Employment Liability insurance, public and private Directors and Officers Liability insurance, Fiduciary Liability insurance, Errors & Omissions insurance and Cyber Liability insurance) as well as the firm's Workers' Compensation Marketing Department. Before that, Anna worked for two other insurance brokerage firms as well as an insurance law office.
Education/professional designations
She holds the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation. She completed the Cyber Professional Liability Practitioner (CPLP) designation from the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS). The CPLP designation provides foundational knowledge of key cyber liability concepts as they relate to professional liability as well as ongoing continuing education in the latest trends and changes to cyber liability in the professional liability space. Anna is also a member of PLUS.
Anna is a Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) and a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS). Anna holds a property and casualty license in the state of California as well as 28 other states.
Anna is a graduate of Segal's Management Development (MAS1) program, which focused on management and supervisory skills, and Segal's Management Development (MAS2) program. She received the 2019 Segal Quality Star Award and the 2021 Segal One Company Award and is also an Ambassador for and Committee member of the Segal Women's Leadership Council Business Resource Group.

Anna regularly presents to Boards of Trustees on various topics including cyber liability, bonds, fiduciary liability and professional liability.
