Wendy is an assurance quality director in the BDO EBP Assurance Professional Practice Group. Wendy's responsibilities in this role include managing national projects of the EBP Assurance group, playing a key role in the Firm's audit software updates specific to benefit plan audits, driving changes and updates to forms and templates, developing national trainings, reviewing SOC 1 standardized memos, consultations related to SOC-1 qualifications, and driving other initiatives and change to improve audit quality and efficiencies throughout the EBP practice.

Prior to her current role, Wendy recently was part of the Charlotte, NC assurance practice focusing on employee benefit plans, including plan audits and related investments, tax compliance work, and consulting. She managed two of BDO's Employee Benefit Plan Practice Offices. She served employee benefit plan clients in a variety of industries including technology, biopharma, distribution, and manufacturing. Wendy's responsibilities included all phases of financial statement audits, including agreed-upon procedures, technical research, and providing recommendations for improving operations. Her experience consists of controls and processes documentation projects while working both in public and in corporate accounting. In addition, Wendy has performed compliance reviews and has been involved in numerous DOL and IRS correction resolutions.

Wendy is a member of the AICPA DOL technical subcommittee and the AICPA EBP Expert Panel, and a leader of the BDO's employee benefit plan internal inspection process. She also has been involved in internal and external training programs in her specialized field.
