Liz Barhydt is the Founder of LB Advisory, a boutique financial strategy firm specializing in preparing digital media companies and marketing agencies for high-value exits with financial rigor, operational execution, and cross-functional decision making.   Liz has led multiple organizations through complex acquisitions, operational turnarounds, and rapid-scale phases, an experience that has shaped her core belief: businesses don’t get bought because of spreadsheets; they get bought because of the story those numbers tell.

Prior to founding LB Advisory, Liz served as CFO and COO for high-growth digital media organizations, overseeing finance, operations, product, and revenue teams. Her operational breadth and transaction experience give her a unique lens on how great decisions are made and how great stories get deals done. After spearheading several 9 figure exits, Liz recognized a consistent pattern: the companies that secured the strongest outcomes had leaders, especially finance leaders, who could articulate a clear, meaningful narrative behind the financials. 

That insight inspired Liz to launch Finance Story Coach, a training and development company built to help finance and accounting professionals communicate with clarity, influence, and strategic impact through storytelling. Liz’s work sits at the intersection of decision-making, storytelling, and financial leadership. She equips leaders with frameworks to translate numbers into narratives that inspire action, align teams, and elevate the strategic role of finance inside an organization.

Liz started her career in Big 4 at EY and gained a breadth of experience across various industries. She earned her BS and MS from Wake Forest University in Finance and Accounting.
