David Brown serves as the Business Solutions Architect for the Business Intelligence team at Abacus Technologies, the technology arm of BMSS, LLC (one of Alabama’s largest CPA firms). A licensed CPA, David previously spent many years as the Controller for BMSS and began his career in public accounting as an auditor.

Throughout his career, David has held a variety of operational and technical roles, including overseeing the IT environment for a CPA firm and managing operations for a fire truck refurbishment company.

Driven by a lifelong passion for understanding how things work, David brings curiosity and analytical depth to every challenge—whether exploring the mechanics of an engine, evaluating a manufacturing process, or developing software solutions.
