Susan Coffey
Sue leads the AICPA’s strategy to advance public accounting in the U.S. and internationally, focusing on financial and business reporting, assurance, advisory, tax, and practice management. Her current priorities include strengthening the CPA talent pipeline, ensuring new professionals are ready from day one, fostering growth in emerging service areas, and promoting the value and relevancy of CPAs and CPA firms through evolving the profession's core services, leveraging technology and advancing quality.
With responsibilities across diverse domestic and global stakeholders, Sue brings a broad, strategic approach to planning, risk management, and problem-solving, which guide the AICPA fulfill its public interest activities and develop opportunities for CPA firms. She holds CPA licenses in New York and New Jersey, is a CGMA, serves on the Public Interest Oversight Board’s Stakeholder Advisory Council, and has been recognized among the profession’s most influential and powerful leaders. Previously, she worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and holds a B.S. in accounting from Fairfield University.
