Laura is the National Estate, Gift & Charitable Technical leader within Deloitte Tax's Washington National Tax practice. In her role, Laura serves as technical subject matter specialist on national engagements, assisting ultra-high net worth families to determine the most effective way to achieve their personal, wealth transfer, and charitable objectives. She has specific experience in pre-mortem estate tax reviews, audit readiness assessments, post-mortem planning, estate administration, fiduciary income taxation, and individual income tax planning for high net worth individuals. She has a passion for teaching and frequently facilitates estate, gift, trust, and individual income tax courses both within Deloitte and externally. Additionally, Laura has contributed to Peebles and Janes, 822-3rd T.M., Estate, Gift and Generation-Skipping Tax Returns and has authored numerous articles. Laura is also co-chair of the AICPA Trust, Estate & Gift Tax Resource Panel. Outside of Deloitte, Laura has been married to her husband, Walter, since 2004. They have 4 young children who keep them busy with sports and boundless energy. Laura loves to read sci-fi, golf, and try new recipes in the kitchen.
