 After a 43-year career in banking, Messer has joined BR Messer as a partner. BR Messer is a Dallas firm targeting Small and Mid-Market businesses.  The Sulphur Springs, Texas native, was employed by the American National Bank of Texas for more than 40 years. He last served   as the Bank's Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer. As Chief Financial Officer, Messer oversaw the management of the balance sheet and income statement. He was responsible for many corporate activities including strategic planning, mergers, and acquisitions.  Prior to becoming Chief Financial Officer, he served as the Bank's Chief Credit Officer. EDUCATION: A 1979 graduate of Texas A & M, Messer also has an MBA from East Texas State University, now Texas A & M Commerce and has attended the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking where he was the President of Class XXX. Robert is a Certified Public Accountant.
