Steve Perkins is a fractional CIO, consultant, and founder of Invicta Advisors, where he helps CPA firms strengthen technology strategy, operational efficiency, and compliance with privacy and data security requirements. He advises firm leaders on aligning technology investments with business goals, implementing governance frameworks, and adopting Lean methods to improve productivity and client experience.

Before launching Invicta, Steve served as Chief Information Officer for Top 100 CPA firm HoganTaylor LLP, where he led the firm’s technology strategy, innovation initiatives, and process improvement programs. His leadership in connecting business and IT strategy helped the firm modernize its infrastructure, improve collaboration, and enhance client service delivery.

Steve has more than 30 years of experience in information technology management and consulting. He began his career without formal IT training, learning from the ground up through curiosity and a passion for how technology can add value to organizations.

His leadership earned him the inaugural “Bridging the Gap in Technology” award from Boomer Consulting, Inc., recognizing individuals who excel in aligning organizational and IT strategy in the accounting profession.

Steve holds a BBA in Finance from Northeastern State University, an MBA from Oklahoma State University, and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
