Director – Risk Advisory Services

Tim is the Director of Risk Advisory Services at Pease Bell CPAs and head of the department. He brings 10 years of experience providing his clients with information security audits and compliance certifications. Tim specializes in overseeing engagement such as SOC 1, SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, HITRUST, and CMMC. Tim excels at advising his clients on how to leverage their controls to generate efficiencies and maintain compliance with regulatory and audit requirements. Leveraging his experience, Tim is skilled at scoping and auditing cloud-based SaaS solutions hosted in third parties such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, and other datacenter colocation facilities.

Tim has worked extensively with clients located around the world and ranging from pre-revenue start-ups to over $5 billion in annual revenue. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), and Iso 27001 Lead Auditor. He understands how to audit many types of systems and operations and leverages his interest in technology and process automation to achieve this in the most efficient way possible. By understanding the legal and regulatory language of the compliance requirements, Tim can provide efficient translation to businesses on what needs to be in place to achieve satisfactory compliance in the shortest amount of time necessary.

Tim has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a co-major in Business Analytics from Miami University. Tim Started his career at a small regional CPA firm, Skoda Minotti where he was the fourth employee in the Risk Advisory department. Four years later the team was nearly 30 people strong and was a key element to Marcum LLP’s acquisition of Skoda Minotti. Tim stayed on staff until the end of 2020 when we joined Pease Bell CPAs.

Outside of work Tim enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and exploring local breweries.
