Rumbi Petrozzello
Rumbi is the head of Assessment and Strategy at Seramount, a workforce research and advisory firm focused on strengthening organizational performance. A Past President of the New York State Society of CPAs, in 2021, Rumbi became the first woman of color elected to serve in that role in the organization’s 125-year history. In 2024, Rumbi joined the board of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (the Association), thus also joining the board of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). The Association is the world’s leading professional accounting associations, serving over 600,000 members. Rumbi also sits on the board of directors of Buxton Helmsley, Inc, where she serves as Chair of the Audit Committee and Member of the Nominating Committee.
A graduate of Mount Holyoke College, in Massachusetts, Rumbi received a BA in economics and math, and then went on to the University of South Africa, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting science. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Global Management Accountant, is Certified in Financial Forensics, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and is a Certified Internal Auditor. Rumbi and her husband at the beaches of New York City, where he surfs and she runs. She also loves reading, podcasts, all manner of sport, and traveling. Rumbi dreams of becoming a Double Dutch skipper one day.
