Her professional background spans all areas of financial management, including budget development, federal program administration, purchasing, accounting, payroll, and risk management.

Karin is a Partner at Heinfeld, Meech & Co., P.C., an accounting and auditing firm based in Arizona, where she works extensively with governmental entities including school districts, municipal governments, state agencies and not for profit organizations. Her practical experience provides a deep understanding of internal controls, compliance, and fraud risk within public sector organizations. In addition to her advanced study degrees, Karin holds the Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations (SFO) credential from the Association of School Business Officials International and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
