Amelia Wentz
Amelia "Amee" Wentz serves as an Assistant Regional Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Inspector General, Office of Audit Services (OAS), in the Region IV, Atlanta Regional Office.
Throughout her 26-year tenure with OAS, Amee has led numerous audits involving Medicare and Medicaid programs, as well as audits of several major HHS public health agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, the Administration for Children and Families, and the Food and Drug Administration.
In addition to her audit leadership responsibilities, Amee has served as Region IV's lead statistical specialist and as the region's recruiting and hiring coordinator since 2008.
A native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Amee earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Mobile in Alabama and a Master of Business Administration from Florida State University.
