Clara Cohen
Clara M. Cohen has risen from humble beginnings to become a CPA and business leader. She achieved success in both the public and private sectors throughout her career. She has worked in various industries including financial services, entertainment, commercial software, and now consulting.
Clara is passionate about creating impact in organizations. By applying her expertise, introducing value driven communication, she helps organizations better define their culture, and elevate collaborative performance. After earning her BBA in Accounting from Bernard Baruch College, she pursued various certifications, including Certified Exit Planning Advisor. In 2019 she was honored by the AICPA as a member of Leadership Academy, where she developed skills in strategic planning, team-building, and communication. Recently, in 2026, she was honored by the New York State Society of CPAs as DEI Champion of the year. She leverages these skills to drive accelerated value creation in organizations.
Clara is dedicated to nurturing inclusive conversations in the corporate world. As a volunteer at NYCPA she works for the benefit of members to foster growth, engage organizations in evaluating their corporate culture for improvement, and help individuals from underestimated communities find empowerment. Her work aims to improve recruitment and retention practices within the industry.
