James Lopiccolo

Jamie is the proud founder and managing member of the CPA firm, Capocore Professional Advisors, located in downtown Lake Orion, MI. Jamie leads the firm's advisory practice providing a proactive approach to serving the firm's business and individual clients. By leveraging the use of technology and cloud computing he is able to keep the firm competitive and relevant to the changing business environment. In his over 34 years of public accounting experience, Jamie has worked in the areas of business advisory, tax and accounting for a multitude of industries including, contracting, manufacturing, medical, professional service companies and real estate. Jamie is a graduate of Walsh College and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), where he currently serves as The Chair of the MICPA and is past chair of the finance committee, and 2-time past Chair of the Small Firm Practitioners Task Force. Jamie is also serves as a member of several Lake Orion DDA committees and other local association boards. In 2020 Jamie was named Lake Orion Business Person of the Year, and most recently was awarded the MICPA Public Service Award for 2021.
