SOC25101. Defining a Scope: Best Practices for SOC Reporting and Engagement Boundaries

In this interactive session, participants will be taken on a guided hands-on exercise to evaluate the scope of a SOC 2 and SOC 1 engagement through the lens of a service auditor. 

Instructors will present two separate scenarios where challenges to scope are presented, and participants will collaborate together to evaluate the facts and propose their ideas, suggestions and solutions. 

The workshop will conclude with summarizing potential impacts of an inadequate SOC scope to the overall engagement.
