Jenny Trotta
Jenny is a Principal within the Cybersecurity practice at Plante Moran and has over 13 years of information security, control, and IT audit experience in several industries, including service, technology, financial institutions, healthcare, insurance, and educational institutions. Jenny’s experience includes SOC 1, 2, and 3 examinations and SOC readiness assessments, ISO 27001 gap assessments and certification audits, Microsoft Data Protection Requirements (DPR) assessments, IT risk assessments, IT audits, TISAX gap assessments, application security controls reviews, security and privacy assessments (GLBA, HIPAA/HITECH), and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 IT compliance reviews. Jenny is also on the professional standards team for the SOC service line and performs engagement quality reviews in accordance with Plante Moran and AICPA requirements.
Jenny holds a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and a specialization in information technology from Michigan State University, along with a master’s in accounting from Oakland University. Jenny is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Michigan, a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP®) and an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor. Jenny is a member of the Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). Jenny has also written whitepapers and presented on various information security topics.
