Danny joined Unum Group, one of the world's leading providers of workplace financial protection benefits, in 2002 and has held a variety of progressive leadership roles during his 20-year tenure. He has been in his current role as Senior Vice President, Global Financial Planning & Analysis since March of 2020. In this capacity, he is responsible for the financial support for the US product lines as well as planning and reporting for the global enterprise. He has previously served in several roles for Unum Group, including Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, Vice President, Global Financial Planning and Analysis and Financial Controller for Unum UK. Before joining Unum Group, Danny worked for Ernst & Young LLP. With over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting, he brings a wealth of financial and technical expertise to our Board. Danny graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Master's Degree in accounting from the University of Alabama. He has served on several local boards in Chattanooga, including the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera and the Tennessee Society of CPAs. Danny currently resides in Chattanooga with his wife, and two children.
