Darryl Bonner II was born in Fayetteville, NC. Upon graduating high school he attended the United States Naval Academy and graduated in 2018, majoring in political science. As a football player at the Naval Academy, he proudly captained the football team in his senior year. Post-graduation, Darryl commissioned into the United States Marine Corps and remained in Annapolis, MD for a year as assistant football coach. After Darryl's coaching stint he entered into the fleet as a Marine Corps officer, later transitioning to a financial management officer role at Camp Lejeune, NC. Darryl deployed to the Middle East for various operations and supported combined joint task forces, marking a significant chapter in his military service. Upon returnong to the states Darryl received the Joint Commendation Medal for his service in a deployed environment. After five years and achieving the rank of captain, Darryl transitioned into civilian life. Two months after discharging from the Marine Corps, Darryl joined Liberty Bank in Middletown, CT, embarking on an apprenticeship within the financial leadership and rotational program in the CFO group. Beyond Darryl's professional pursuits, I=he finds joy in watching football and basketball, engaging in sports, reading in books, and contributing his musical talents by playing the drums at the church he attends.
