Jeff is Grant Thornton's tax technical leader for compensation and employee benefits. Jeff has been practicing in the area of taxation for more than 20 years, all with Grant Thornton. In his current role, Jeff advises Grant Thornton's offices and clients with respect to tax issues that impact compensation and employee benefits. In addition, he leads the firm's training programs in several complex areas related to compensation and employee benefits. Jeff graduated from West Virginia University with a Masters in Professional Accountancy and a B.S. in business administration with a specialty in accounting. He is a CPA licensed in Washington, DC and Virginia. Jeff is an active member of the AICPA, where he is currently a member of the Tax Executive Committee and is a former the Chair of the technical resource panel on employee benefits. He is also the former Tax Chair for the AICPA Employee Benefit Plans Conference. Jeff has authored articles in the Journal of Taxation, Tax Analysts, the Journal of Accountancy, Bloomberg BNA and The Tax Adviser. He has spoken at the AICPA Employee Benefit Plans Conference, the AICPA National Tax Conference, the Federal Bar Association Tax Law Conference, and various Tax Executive Institute conferences.
