Kinman is a partner at Moss Adams, where he serves a diverse spectrum of not-for-profit organizations and governmental entities, providing assurance and consulting services to educational institutions, research organizations, community health centers, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), foundations, international nongovernmental organizations, social welfare organizations, and ancillary health care providers and organizations. Kinman is well versed in performing compliance audits of not-for-profit and for-profit entities participating in federal programs under the Yellow Book; the OMB _Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards_; and other federal agencies' program-specific audit guides. He also has significant experience working on forensic investigations and litigation support for health care and not-for-profit clients. Kinman is a designated Single Audit technical reviewer for the firm. Kinman currently serves as the co-chair of Moss Adams' Inclusion & Diversity Board, with the goals of explicitly living the firm's core values, doing the work necessary to be an anti-racist firm, and creating an inclusive culture where everyone feels like they belong. Additionally, he was honored by the _San Francisco Business Times_ as one of the 2021 OUTstanding Voices, for being a leader who is out and making a difference in the business world. Kinman was recently appointed as the Vice Chair of the AICPA LGBTQ+ Initiatives Committee, where he supports the committee's responsibilities to understand barriers that impede the long-term success of LGBTQ+ members in the accounting profession; propose strategies that will alleviate the barriers to retention and advancement of LGBTQ+ members; report on data related to recruiting, retention, and advancement; and champion the importance of diversity within the profession. He is also a member of the CalCPA's Commission on Belonging. Within his San Francisco Bay Area community, Kinman serves on the boards of Asian Health Services and Aurora Theatre Company. He is a proud California Golden Bear, and continues to give back to Berkeley Haas by being part of the school's alumni council and advisory board member of the school's Center for Financial Reporting and Management.
