Shane Lloyd is a diversity and inclusion practitioner with extensive experience in higher education, public health, tech and non-profit organizations. As a highly sought-after facilitator, trainer, and strategist, Shane specializes in conducting workshops on various dimensions of social identity, with special expertise in the areas of race and socioeconomic class and integrates research in behavioral economics, psychology, organizational behavior, sociology, and public health. Shane is known for facilitating dynamic and interactive workshops that equip participants with vocabulary, frameworks, and concrete action steps to advance inclusion and belonging. Over the course of his career, he has partnered with academic departments, HR units, and senior leadership teams to develop impactful short-term and long-term strategies aimed at ensuring that all members of an organizational environment can thrive and contribute in meaningful ways. Currently, Shane serves as the Head of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging at Baker Tilly, a top 10 professional services firm based in the United States. Shane leads the firmwide diversity, inclusion and belonging strategy and advises executive leadership. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, Shane worked at Amazon's Worldwide Consumer and Global DEI teams. Before Amazon, Shane held positions at two of the nation's leading academic institutions—Brown University and Yale University— and as a consultant at Cook Ross, one of the world's leading diversity and inclusion consulting firms. Shane earned a Master of Public Health degree from Brown University and a Bachelor's in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University.
