Andrew Carrington
Mr. Andrew Carrington - for the past nine years has served as the Chief Technology Officer for the Pohanka Automotive Group. In August 2021, with the financial backing of the Pohanka Automotive Group, he co-founded Solutios as an embedded FinTech company serving the Franchise Automotive Dealer market. Mr. Carrington has spent 40 years as a serial entrepreneur in the technology and R&D business in industries such as MIL/Aero/Space, semiconductor, embedded software, and automotive electronics - now most recently FinTech/merchant processing. In addition, for the past four years Mr. Carrington has served as the fractional CISO for Pohanka - a PCI and Safeguard compliant company.
Mr. Carrington served as President and CEO of Cambridge Research Associates from 1988 to 2004. Cambridge Research was a DoD/Intelligence Agency technology incubator specializing in advanced computer architectures (such as the Pixar Imaging Computer), advanced avionics (Joint Strike Fighter), real-time 3D satellite imaging, interferometry, and a wide range of simulation systems. During his term with Cambridge, Mr. Carrington, also served as the Chairman of Cambridge Technology Group, a private equity investment company. From 2004 to 2015 Mr. Carrington held several leadership positions in companies such as Avstar, the first voice-controlled GPS in-car navigation system; Foresight Systems, a discrete event simulator/VHDL-compiler for embedded ASIC design; and Mediatronics, which produced the first voice controlled fiber optic vehicle OEM head-unit (the Ford Sync).
