
Brett Gaines
Brett is an inclusion and diversity manager at Forvis Mazars. He has nearly 15 years of experience working across various industries, including higher education, healthcare IT, talent acquisition, and now DEI. Starting his career in 2010, Brett worked for his alma mater, Missouri State University, as an admissions counselor before moving to Kansas City and venturing into talent acquisition, where he worked with early career talent. He began his career in diversity and inclusion in 2019 serving as a diversity recruiting partner. He came to the firm in early 2021 serving as the diversity recruiting advisor before transitioning into the inclusion and diversity manager role in 2022.
As an inclusion and diversity manager, he primarily oversees the efforts of the Forvis Mazars inclusion networks, along with managing external partnerships and engagement.
Brett holds the Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation.
He is a 2009 and 2010 graduate of Missouri State University, Springfield, with a B.S. degree in finance and an M.B.A. degree.
