Tj O’Neill is a senior manager in Wipfli’s tax practice. He has over 13 years of tax experience assisting clients ranging from large, multistate entities to small, closely held companies with their tax planning, tax compliance, tax consulting, and merger & acquisition needs. Clients appreciate his tailored individual and business solutions, commitment to excellence, and ability to build strong relationships with their team. Tj is a frequent contributor and speaker on tax legislation, leadership discussions, trends, and best practices. Tj has served as the chair of both the AICPA Student Recruitment and AICPA Academic Executive committees, both focused on strengthening the CPA pipeline and equipping young and aspiring CPAs with the knowledge and tools to be successful in the profession. Tj is a class of 2016 AICPA Leadership Academy graduate and has been honored as the 2016 Missouri Society of CPAs Outstanding Young Professional, a 2025 CPA Practice Adviser 40 Under 40 recipient, and one of five AICPA Emerging Leader Award recipients for his dedication to the profession. Tj lives in St. Louis with his wife Ashley (also a CPA) and three children and is an avid musician, outdoorsman, and rugby fanatic.
